The Equipment

The Italian iron.

Panatta is Trinity’s exclusive equipment partner — the hand-built Italian strength equipment used by Mr. Olympia competitors, national federation training centers, and the most discerning private gyms on earth. Now on a public floor in Long Beach.

Apiro, Italy Est. 1988 Hand-assembled
01 — Why Panatta

The chain-gym equipment is engineered to a price point. Panatta is engineered to a movement.

Every Panatta machine is designed around peer-reviewed biomechanics research — the cam profile, the seat geometry, the handle pitch, the line of pull. Each piece is hand-assembled in Apiro, Italy by master craftsmen who have built nothing else for thirty years. Marine-grade steel. Italian-leather upholstery. The kind of finish you only notice when you finally feel it under your hands.

Cheap iron compounds. Years of off-axis loading, bad strength curves, and joint-stressing cam paths add up to bad shoulders, bad knees, and bad backs. We didn’t want that for the people training at Trinity. So we paid more — a lot more — and put the right equipment under their hands.

02 — The four lines

Every movement, the right machine.

Panatta builds across four distinct lines. Trinity is equipped across all four — so every push, pull, hinge, and squat pattern lives on a piece engineered for it.

01

Plate-Loaded

Freeweight 1

Panatta’s foundational plate-loaded line. Iso-lateral arms, anatomical cam profiles, hand-welded steel frames. The pieces every serious training room is built around.

  • Iso-Lateral Row, Press, Pulldown
  • Incline & Decline Press
  • Leg Press & Hack Squat
  • Plate-loaded T-Bar Row
02

Premium Plate-Loaded

Freeweight Special

Panatta’s flagship plate-loaded series — the same machines used by IFBB pros and Olympia competitors. Tighter tolerances, Italian-leather upholstery, the kind of finish you only notice when your hands are on it.

  • Pendulum Squat
  • Belt Squat
  • Leverage Smith Machine
  • Glute Drive & Hip Thrust
03

Selectorized

FIT Evo

Pin-loaded stack machines for high-frequency hypertrophy work and post-rehab progression. Smoother than any commercial selectorized line on the market — designed for everyday access without the plate-loaded setup time.

  • Chest Press & Shoulder Press
  • Lat Pulldown & Seated Row
  • Leg Extension & Leg Curl
  • Abductor / Adductor
04

Cable / Functional

Fantastic

Panatta’s signature cable-driven line. Rope-and-cam mechanism gives surgical-grade smoothness through every range of motion. The functional and cable work most gyms make you suffer through, made effortless.

  • Dual-Adjustable Pulley
  • Cable Crossover Station
  • Functional Trainer
  • Pec-Deck / Rear-Delt
04 — Signature pieces

The machines you book a session for.

  • 01

    Pendulum Squat

A quad-isolating squat with no lower-back load. The piece that makes hard leg days actually possible four times a week.

  • 02

    Iso-Lateral Row

Independent arm paths so your strong side stops cheating your weak side. The single best back-builder on the floor.

  • 03

    Leverage Smith Machine

A counter-balanced Smith with a true vertical bar path — not the angled fixed-rail variant that wrecks your shoulders.

  • 04

    Hack Squat

The Panatta Hack — tilted just past vertical, infinite range, foot positions from narrow to ultra-wide. Quad development in its purest form.

05 — The heritage

Made in Apiro, Italy. Since 1988.

Panatta has built strength equipment from the same small town in central Italy for thirty-seven years. The Panatta family still runs it. Master craftsmen still hand-weld and hand-finish every piece. Each machine is tested against biomechanics models developed in Panatta’s in-house research lab before it leaves the factory floor.

When a Trinity trainer hands you to a Panatta machine, you’re training on the same equipment as the world’s top professional bodybuilders, the Italian national strength federation, and the most discerning private training rooms on earth. There’s nothing built better.

06 — The decision
“We could have outfitted Trinity for a fraction of what Panatta cost us. We didn’t. The work happening on this floor deserves the best equipment in the business, and Panatta is it. Full stop.”

Come See It

Touch the iron.

The only way to understand Panatta is to grip the handles. Free intro session at Trinity Training Facility — 117 W 5th Street, Long Beach. No card, no contract.

  1. 01 What is Panatta and why is it considered the best gym equipment?

Panatta is an Italian strength-equipment manufacturer founded in 1988 in Apiro, Italy. Each machine is hand-assembled by master craftsmen, engineered around peer-reviewed biomechanics research, and built with marine-grade steel and Italian-leather upholstery. The brand is the equipment of choice for the world's elite training rooms — including the prep facilities of Mr. Olympia competitors. Often called “the Ferrari of gym equipment.”

  2. 02 What Panatta lines does Trinity have on the floor?

Trinity is outfitted with pieces across four Panatta lines: Freeweight 1 (the foundational plate-loaded line), Freeweight Special (Panatta's flagship premium plate-loaded series used by IFBB pros), FIT Evo (pin-loaded selectorized stack machines), and Fantastic (cable-driven and functional trainers). Every major movement pattern is covered with Panatta iron.

  3. 03 Is Trinity the only gym in Long Beach with Panatta equipment?

To our knowledge, yes — Trinity is the only commercial training facility in Long Beach with Panatta as its exclusive equipment partner. Most gyms in California with Panatta are private invite-only training rooms used by IFBB pros and competitive bodybuilders. We brought it to a public training floor.

  4. 04 Do I need to be a member to train on Panatta equipment at Trinity?

Yes. Full Trinity members have unlimited 24/7 access to the entire Panatta floor. Day passes are available for trainer-led sessions and intro visits. Book a free intro to walk the floor and see the equipment before committing.

  5. 05 Why does the equipment quality matter for my training?

Cheap commercial equipment is engineered to a price point, not a movement. Joint stress, off-axis loading, and bad cam profiles compound over years of training. Panatta’s biomechanics team designs each machine around the actual anatomical strength curve of the target muscle. The result: cleaner movements, fewer joint complaints, and faster progress when you train hard.

  6. 06 Can I see the equipment before signing up?

Yes — that's the point of our free intro session. Walk the floor, touch every piece, ask whatever you want. Most members make their decision the moment they grip their first Panatta handle.
