The Race

HYROX TRAINING
BUILT FOR RACE DAY.

Hyrox is 8 kilometers of running broken up by 8 functional workout stations — SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. It punishes athletes who only lift and athletes who only run. Trinity's Hyrox training builds the hybrid engine the race actually demands: strength that holds up under fatigue, and running that holds up under load.

Who it's for

Built for the people who actually train.

  • First-timers targeting an open-division finish
  • Returning racers chasing a PR or a doubles podium
  • Runners who lose minutes on the sleds — and lifters who lose them on the runs
  • CrossFit and bootcamp athletes who want a race on the calendar
  • Anyone who trains harder with a date and a start line

What to expect

Training, programmed.

01

Race-specific assessment

A benchmark session across the actual demands — a running time trial, sled work at race weights, and a wall-ball test. Your block is programmed off your numbers, not a generic template.

02

The stations, done right

Sled push and pull mechanics on Trinity's 40-foot prowler lane, erg pacing, burpee broad-jump rhythm, loaded carries and lunges, and wall-ball sets that don't blow up your shoulders in station eight. Technique first, then volume.

03

Compromised running

The race is never a fresh 1K. You'll train runs off the sled, off the erg, and under fatigue — the skill that separates finishers from racers.

04

A block built to your race date

8–12 week programming that peaks when your race does, with deloads and a taper built in. Train solo with your coach or with a doubles partner.

  1. 01 What is Hyrox, exactly?

Hyrox is a fitness race held in arenas worldwide: you run 1 kilometer, complete a functional workout station, and repeat that eight times — SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and 75–100 wall balls to finish. Every race is the same format, so your time is comparable across events and seasons.

  2. 02 Do I need to be fit already to start Hyrox training?

No. The race scales by division — open, pro, doubles, and relay — and the open division is achievable for most people after a focused training block. Your trainer meets you at your current running and strength level and builds from there.

  3. 03 How long does it take to get ready for a Hyrox race?

For a first race, 8–12 weeks of structured training is the sweet spot for most people with some training history. Complete beginners should give it 16 weeks. If your race is further out, the block periodizes into a base phase before race-specific work begins.

  4. 04 Does Trinity have the space to train for Hyrox?

Yes — that's the hard part most gyms can't offer. The Floor is 6,000 sq ft of open strength and conditioning space with a 40-foot sled and prowler lane plus a turf strip for sprints and carries, so you can move straight from loaded station work into running under fatigue the way the race demands.

  5. 05 How much does Hyrox coaching at Trinity cost?

Each trainer sets their own rates, typically $80–$150 per session, with 8-, 12-, and 24-session packages at a per-session discount — a 12-session package maps neatly onto a race block. Book a free intro to talk through your race date.
