Trinity

Trinity Now Has a Second Floor: Meet Trinity Training West Covina

The Trinity model — private floor, independent trainers, no crowd — now runs in the San Gabriel Valley too. What Trinity Training West Covina is, who runs it, and why it matters if you train in Long Beach.

For years the answer to "is there a Trinity closer to me?" was no. If you lived in Covina, Walnut, Glendora or anywhere else in the San Gabriel Valley, the nearest floor that ran the way ours does was this one, forty minutes down the 605. That changed this year. Trinity Training West Covina is open.

What it is

The same idea as Long Beach, built by someone who arrived at it independently. Jason Tam started behind the front desk of a corporate gym, became a trainer, then a franchise owner, and in 2019 opened a private training facility at 1705 W Garvey Ave N in West Covina — no memberships, no front desk, no crowd, just independent trainers and the clients they book. In 2026 that floor became Trinity Training West Covina, and the two facilities now share a name, a model and a philosophy. Each is independently owned and run.

The floor

7,000 square feet today, organized into nine rooms the way we organize ours. The Floor runs four strength lines — Panatta, Atlantis, Newtech and Booty Builder — which is a different mix from our Panatta-and-Eleiko setup and, if you like machines, a deeper one. There is a dedicated Boxing Area (bags and mitts rather than an Olympic-spec ring — that stays a Long Beach thing), a turf lane for sleds and sprints, a cardio zone, a closed-door private studio, and the recovery side: a sauna, on-site massage, a peptide provider and Holy Macros meal prep.

It is open 24/7, every session by appointment with a trainer, and — as of this month — taking names for 24-hour keyed memberships on a floor that will grow to 14,000 square feet when they launch. We have watched that expansion with interest.

The roster

Around thirty independent, certified trainers across the same disciplines we cover here — strength and conditioning, boxing, weight loss, youth athletes, women's training, mobility and post-rehab, nutrition, HYROX. Every trainer sets their own rates and books their own clients, exactly as our roster does. Browse them at trinitytrainingwc.com/trainers.

Why it matters if you train in Long Beach

  • You move, or you commute. Plenty of Long Beach clients work in the valley or end up living there. There is now a floor that runs the way you are used to.
  • You have people out there. If someone you know in Covina, Baldwin Park, La Puente, Walnut, Glendora or Diamond Bar has been asking where you train, the answer is now twenty minutes from them.
  • The model is proven twice. Two private floors, two rosters, two owners who came to the same conclusion about how a gym should work. That is not a coincidence, and it is a good sign for what we are building here.

What is different

Ownership, roster, and the room itself. Long Beach has The Ring, the cedar sauna, Meals by Mel and our fight nights. West Covina has its own version of each. Packages and trainers are per location — book with a trainer where you train, and if you split time between the coast and the valley, say so; introductions between the two floors are one text away.

  1. 01 Is Trinity Training West Covina part of Trinity Training Facility in Long Beach?

They are sister facilities under the Trinity name, each independently owned and run. Long Beach is Adam Mai's floor in the East Village Arts District; West Covina is Jason Tam's floor at 1705 W Garvey Ave N. Same model — a private training facility with independent, certified trainers — two different rooms, two different rosters.

  2. 02 Can I use my Long Beach trainer or package at the West Covina location?

Each facility runs its own roster and each trainer sets their own rates, so sessions are booked with a trainer at the location you train at. If you split time between the coast and the valley, tell your trainer — introductions between the two floors are easy to make.

  3. 03 Where is Trinity Training West Covina?

1705 W Garvey Ave N, West Covina, CA 91790, just off the 10 freeway, with free on-site parking. Phone 626-430-7695. Website: trinitytrainingwc.com.

  4. 04 Does the West Covina location have memberships?

Not yet. Like Long Beach, it is a private, by-appointment training facility. 24-hour gym memberships on an expanded 14,000 sq ft floor are coming soon; there is a waitlist at trinitytrainingwc.com/memberships.
