The Story

From sales and operations to gym owner.

Adam Mai's path into gym ownership took shape in 2020, when Adam began building a training facility in Long Beach. The doors opened in January 2021, and the facility went on to earn "Best Gym in Long Beach" recognition four consecutive years. That accomplishment is part of the story, but so is the model behind it: giving private trainers the freedom to build their own careers while contributing to a shared training community.

Before opening the facility, Adam served as Vice President of Sales at Ad Exchange Group and Push Innovation Fulfillment from 2015 to 2019, and is the co-founder and president of Fulfillment X. That background in sales, operations and entrepreneurship informs the business education and mentorship Adam develops for fitness professionals: leadership, branding, communication and client relationships.

The Model

A place where independent trainers build their own business.

At Trinity, independent professionals manage their own schedules and pricing while accessing equipment, continuing education, certification opportunities and business courses. Adam's role is to build the environment and resources that support that work, so clients can connect with coaches whose services fit their individual needs.

Meet the people who train here on the trainers page, see the rooms they work in across the facility, or read how trainers can join Trinity.

Equipment & Design

Equipment sourcing and facility design.

Adam serves as Managing Partner of Apex Motion USA, a Panatta West Coast distributor. Equipment sourcing and facility design are significant parts of Adam's work in fitness: from selecting machines to planning how a training space functions, Adam is involved in the details that shape the experience inside a gym.

Read more about the equipment on the Panatta page and see how it is laid out across The Floor.

Other Ventures

Fight conditioning, HYROX and youth soccer.

Adam's broader fitness ventures include Made 2 Fight, a boxing bootcamp and HYROX group fitness concept, and Core Sports OC youth soccer. See how Trinity organizes boxing, HYROX and athletic performance training across the facility.

Values

Purpose, Faith and Community.

Trinity's values of Purpose, Faith and Community connect with the priorities that guide Adam's life and work. Purpose gives direction to what gets built. Faith is part of Adam's personal foundation. Community is expressed through the relationships among Trinity's trainers, clients and the people who support the facility. Those values sit alongside a commitment to perseverance and creating a lasting legacy.

Outside the gym, Adam is a proud father with a strong focus on family, and is interested in entrepreneurship, creative branding and developing new business ideas.

Training With Adam

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
AT TRINITY.

All Strength & Conditioning trainers →

Strength is the foundation everything else stacks on. Trinity's strength & conditioning trainers build athletes, professionals, and lifelong residents who want to move heavy, recover hard, and keep doing it for decades.

01

ASSESSMENT FIRST

Movement screen, training history, current lifts. Your trainer builds the program around your body — not a template they hand to every client.

02

PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD THAT HOLDS UP

Programmed cycles with deloads built in. You'll see the numbers move week over week without burning out.

03

CONDITIONING THAT DOESN'T KILL YOUR LIFTS

Energy-system work paired with strength training, not against it. Capacity grows. Recovery improves. Strength stays.

04

TRAINING ON THE FLOOR

Hands-on cues, video review, real-time form correction. Every session has a trainer who's watching.

Who Adam’s clients tend to be

  • Lifters chasing real PRs — not gym numbers
  • Athletes whose sport demands repeatable power
  • Professionals returning to the iron after years away
  • Anyone tired of training without a program
